Kent help unemployed
24/02/2010
The Kent Homechoice scheme has announced it will add the LHS Worklessness Manager to its portfolio of services for housing applicants.
This means that housing officers will be able to point unemployed applicants towards professional help to get back to work in any of the 13 local authorities that form the Kent partnership.
Worklessness Manager allows housing officers to quickly capture an applicant’s personal, employment and training details. The system then helps the housing officer set up meetings for the applicant with the appropriate training or employment expert, drawing from the details it holds on local Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) providers.
Ashford Borough Council will be the first of the 13 local authorities to go live with the system as the first stage in the roll-out of the system across the scheme.
