The Kent scheme covers the largest geographical area of any sub-regional scheme using LHS Choice Based Lettings Manager in the UK.

It is also the scheme with the most partners - formed from 15 strategic authorities and 20 housing associations. A total of 39 social landlords have placed adverts within the scheme.

Kent Homechoice is now available in all council areas of Kent following the decision by Medway Council to join the scheme at the end of May 2010. This means the county-wide scheme now handles just under 350,000 bids a year from more than 36,000 housing applicants.

The Medway stand-alone scheme went live in February 2006 and last year ran 1,794 adverts leading to 1,089 successful lets.

Kent Homechoice works on a fortnightly bid cycle and all the property adverts are published on their website and in a freesheet distributed widely throughout the county. In the last year, Kent Homechoice carried more than 6,600 adverts leading to some 4,050 completed lets.

The scheme went live in July 2008 and now includes a DigiTV  facility that allows housing applicants to access the scheme through their television via Sky, Virgin Media, or Freeview with a modem.
