Partner Schemes - Sussex
Sussex
The Sussex scheme covers nine local authorities and handles more than 220,000 bids a year from approximately 30,000 housing applicants.
The scheme works on a fortnightly bid cycle and carries all the available properties for letting on its website and freesheet that is distributed widely throughout the county. In the last year Sussex Homemove carried more than 4,200 adverts leading to some 3,340 completed lets.
Brighton and Hove began working with LHS on Choice Based Lettings in 2005 and were joined in 2007 by Chichester, Adur , Arun, Hastings, and Wealden to form the basis of the current sub-regional scheme.
Sussex Homemove uses a single banding system across all its partners and offers its applicants Mutual Exchange facilities and properties from Private Landlords.
