The West Berkshire stand-alone scheme went live in May 2007 and runs on a weekly bid cycle.

In December 2009, West Berkshire had 4,789 applicants on the Housing Register making more than 37,000 bids a year on advertised properties. 

HomechoiceWB advertises all available properties on its website and in a freesheet distributed widely across the West Berkshire area. In the last year approximately 550 adverts were run leading to 265 completed lets. 

West Berkshire’s HomeChoice scheme allows bids by telephone, on the internet, by coupon and in person. It also runs a Mutual Exchange facility.
